De Baltische taelen zien een taelfemielje die an be'oôrn toet de Indo-Europese taelen, net as aore taelfemieljes as de Slaovische taelen en de Germaonse taelen. De Baltische taelfemielje besti nog uut slechs twi levende taelen: 't Lets en 't Litouws. Beie taelen maeken deêl uut van de Oôst-Baltische taelen. 't Litouws is iervan erg archaïsch.
West-Baltische taelen
